About the Role:
We are on the lookout for a passionate and proactive Development Project Manager to bolster our fundraising efforts. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Development, you will help expand myAgro's donor portfolio and promote long-lasting relationships with strategic partners. The Development team works closely with each other, other teams, field staff, and donors to proactively meet fundraising objectives. With a solutions-oriented approach and a collaborative spirit, we engage with passion and purpose, ensuring our mission resonates with everyone we connect with.
You Will:
• Manage the portfolio to maximize engagement prospects and collaborate with the Sr. Director of Development to explore viable opportunities for myAgro's engagement with donors.
• Support the donor engagement cycle for both prospects and current donors, from cultivation to stewardship phases.
• Assist in solicitation efforts by contributing to letters of interest, concept notes, and proposals, working collaboratively with the Grants Writer and country teams.
• Maintain strong donor relations by supporting the Sr. Director of Development in communicating with myAgro partners.
• Work with programs and operations to ensure that relevant knowledge is captured and informs myAgro’s work in Senegal.
• Support the creation and implementation of donor and prospect engagement communications and strategies
• Explain the mission and program priorities of myAgro in written and oral development outreach tools (presentations, talking points, briefing notes, scripts).
• Participate in relevant meetings, team-building activities, and contributions towards team goals.
• Inform and update the systems and tools used by the Development team to manage its work.
You Have:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience in a related field
• 4+ years working in fundraising or in a nonprofit setting;
• Experience building a portfolio of funders and managing outreach and engagement with multiple donors.
• Knowledge of international development or agriculture and rural development
• Experience with donor databases (preferably Raiser's Edge)
