We have developed a mobile savings model that allows farmers to invest their own funds in high-quality seed, fertilizer, and agricultural training to increase their harvest and income by 50-100%. About the Role:

The Global Controller will support myAgro’s global financial operations. You will oversee all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and delivery of financial information. This is a critical role for our organization, and you will play a key part in driving financial performance and achieving our strategic goals, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams across different countries. Additionally, you will provide high-quality, accurate, data and analysis for strategic decision support, work with the CFO on strategic matters, policies, and priorities, and represent Finance in cross-organizational working groups.

You Will:

• Lead and manage the entire accounting function for myAgro globally both locally and consolidated, overseeing all aspects of accounting, audit, financial reporting, internal controls, and risk management.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting following relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP) and OHADA.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, lenders, and investors, ensuring compliance with all regulations and reporting requirements.
• Manage all audits including grant and donor required audits as well as annual independent audits.
• Provide insightful financial analysis and forecasts to inform strategic decision-making across the organization.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks, developing and strengthening internal controls and risk mitigation  frameworks.
• Optimize financial processes, including monthly closes, to ensure operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage the accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional development.
• Partner with country finance and country leaders to provide strategic financial support.

You Have:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 5 years of experience in a senior financial management role in a global company.
• Technical knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and international accounting standards.
• Experience in financial reporting, consolidation, and analysis in a multinational environment.
• Knowledge of internal controls, risk management, and compliance requirements.
• The ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and cultures.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with Sage is an added advantage.
