Position: Regional Agricultural Manager
Location: Thies, Senegal

About the Role:
You will lead and coordinate multiple agricultural initiatives—from pilots and trials to training programs—ensuring they are well-designed, well-executed, and aligned with farmer needs to improve their outcomes and support myAgro's rapid regional expansion. While this role contributes to agricultural R&D and innovation, success depends on your ability to translate ideas into field-ready programs and manage them end-to-end.
You will work closely with the Innovations team, Sales team, and other departments to move pilots through the innovation pipeline and into scalable programs. You will be based in Thies, Senegal and report to the COO.
You Will:
Project Management
- Lead the design, planning, and execution of regional agricultural projects, pilots, and trials (e.g., inputs, production systems, ag-forestry, poultry, or new service models).
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring clear work plans, timelines, budgets, and accountability, as well as coordination with other departments.
- Implement quality control systems to ensure high standards of field execution.
- Collaborate closely with the Innovations and Development teams to align pilots and projects with broader innovation and fundraising priorities.
Agricultural Training & Capacity Building
- Design, manage, and continuously improve agricultural training programs for farmers and field staff.
- Ensure training content is practical, user-centered, and adapted to local contexts.
- Work on making existing and future curriculum digital-ready.
- Support field teams with tools, guidance, and feedback to improve program delivery and farmer adoption.
Applied R&D and Pilots
- Lead applied agricultural R&D activities focused on testing, piloting, and validating new products, practices, or services.
- Set up simple but robust frameworks for trials, data collection, and learning.
- Use data and field feedback to inform decisions on scaling, iteration, or discontinuation of pilots.
- Contribute to improving and standardizing processes across the R&D and innovation pipeline.
- Monitor trends, partners, and initiatives in the agricultural ecosystem for learning and collaboration opportunities.

- You are not flexible to work with Sales and other departments to adjust ag programs to the reality of field and sales needs.
- You are only interested in being the “technical” leader of an agricultural department.
You Have:

6+ years of experience in agriculture, rural development, or related fields.

Strong hands-on experience managing agricultural programs, pilots, or projects in rural contexts.

Demonstrated ability to work at the intersection of multiple departments and stakeholders.

Experience designing and implementing programs or projects in rural Africa.

Comfortable working with data to inform decisions, without needing to be a technical agronomy specialist.

Fluency in English & French required. Wolof is a big plus.
