About the Role:

myAgro is seeking an Innovation Associate Consultant to support the design, testing, and scaling of new farmer engagement approaches over a fixed-term engagement. This role combines developing new solutions, curriculum development, and digital learning tools design with hands-on field work to ensure that innovations are grounded in the realities of the farmers we serve. You will collaborate closely with field teams, data analysts, and country leads to develop training content, run pilot experiments, and track implementation outcomes, bringing focused capacity to myAgro's innovation function during a critical period of program growth.

You Will:

• Create user-centred designs for new tools being developed and tested.
• Design and build interfaces that create an entertaining, engaging farmer experience.
• Develop and test iteratively with an innovative and learning mindset.
• Organise user research and usability testing, including field testing with rural farmers, to validate design decisions and iterate.
• Collaborate with Innovations project managers to create requirements that balance user needs and strategic goals.
• Develop and manage workplans to track progress towards objectives.
• Own the end-to-end user research process—from research planning, interview guide creation, moderation, synthesis, insight generation, and recommendation development. 
• Co-Create user personas, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to communicate design concepts and interactions.
• Clearly communicate design rationale to project managers, engineers, and stakeholders using user research and evidence.

You Have:

• 3+ years of experience in UX design, graphic design, and design systems management for mobile web applications.
• A portfolio demonstrating design expertise and process, including experience designing for rural areas in sub-Saharan Africa.
• Knowledge of and experience with digital tools for low/no-literacy users, including WhatsApp-based apps and other digital tools (i.e. icon-first interfaces, voice-first interactions, conversational UX, WhatsApp experiences, IVR, assisted digital journeys )
• Comfort working in ambiguous environments and helping define product requirements through rapid experimentation. 
• Experience designing products that influence user behaviour through behavioural design, persuasive design, gamification, or service design. 
• The ability to advocate for user-centred design principles and best practices.
• Comfort using design software such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and Figma.
• The ability to perform user research, usability testing, and data analysis.
• Strong proficiency in French; proficiency in English preferred.
